Tomorrow Metropolitan will enter Omega Studios in Rockville, MD to lay down some tracks. Master engineer Archie Moore will be working the sessions; you may know him from his former group Velocity Girl.

Metropolitan follows a long line of top artists who have recorded at Omega, including Cheech & Chong, Stevie Wonder, 2 Live Crew, and many more.

All sorts of new photos have been posted, from Rock 'N Romp, the Make-Out Party and other recent gigs.

The Metropolitan song "Homeroom" will be featured on a CD comp. to benefit DC social-services provider Bread for the City. It will be released on Sonic Boomerang Records, and it features Cinerama, Barbara Manning and the Go-Luckys!, the Hurricane Lamps, the Mendoza Line, the Saturday People, Bettie Serveert, Lenola, Purple Ivy Shadows, and more. All the profits will go to Bread for the City (www.breadforthecity.org). It will be out in November.

Metropolitan plays the Warehouse Next Door in Washington DC on Friday September 12th with Disband and the City the Sea. Don't miss this show.
